Phase 1 - the "honeymoon period" (typically 3-6 months)
- loving not having to go to work
- best thing ever
- freedom from the daily grind
Phase 2 - looking back - the dip (can last weeks/months)
- it was so good having those drinks with my mates
- I really miss the banter
- every day is the same now
- I need to get busy again - but doing what?
- I'm actually not happy right now...
Phase 3 - enjoying a new "rhythm" of life (6-12+ months)
- not feeling guilty about enjoying yourself
- discovering new hobbies and ways of passing the time
- leaving the past behind and living in the here and now - and enjoying it!
